Torn Paper Collage : Hummingbirds!
Paint and Collage a vibrant hummingbird in this fun, beginner-friendly workshop that introduces torn paper techniques, painted papers, and loose playful painting. All materials provided!

In this class you’ll create a vibrant, mixed media hummingbird artwork using torn paper collage and acrylic paint.
We will begin with a loose, playful painting process to create a colourful initial layer on the canvas and prepare it for collage. You will also create a few of your own painted collage papers.
We’ll then move into the torn paper collage process to define your hummingbird and add detail to the artwork by selecting, tearing, and layering painted and patterned papers. We’ll finish the piece with a few flourishes using paint and paint pens. You’ll leave with a finished artwork.
This class is perfect for beginners (no experience required!) or for artists looking to learn about torn paper collage. All materials are provided, and the day includes a 30-minute break.

Torn Paper Collage : Floral Bouquet
Design your own vibrant floral collage in this fun, beginner-friendly class that introduces torn paper floral collage painted. All materials provided!

Join us for a fun and playful introduction to torn paper collage as you create a vibrant, floral artwork! You’ll learn torn paper collage techniques and composition to create a variety of blooms and foliage, and then design and assemble your own one-of-a-kind bouquet on a canvas with a painted background provided.
Finished examples and collage guides will be available, along with step-by-step instructions and time for questions as they arise, and creativity and experimentation are highly encouraged!
All skill levels welcome and all supplies are included! This class is perfect for beginners (no experience required!) as well as artists interested in exploring a new medium.

Torn Paper Collage : 3 Week Series
Want to dive deeper? Create a mixed media collage from start to finish, painting a canvas, creating collage papers and collaging a floral bouquet!
Tuesdays, April 14, 21 & 28 - 5:30-8:00pm

In this series you’ll create a vibrant, mixed media floral artwork using torn paper collage and acrylic paint. We'll begin by building playful acrylic layers to paint a colourful base, design a floral composition, and add a background on your canvas in preparation for collage.
In session two we will explore gelli plate printing to create unique collage papers full of texture, pattern, and colour.
In session three your artwork will come to life as you use torn paper collage techniques to build a variety of blooms and foliage, and design and assemble your own one-of-a-kind bouquet on your painted canvas. Finished examples and collage guides will be available, along with step-by-step instructions and time for questions as they arise, and creativity and experimentation are highly encouraged!

Join us for a playful and creative workshop where you’ll compose a floral collage featuring daffodils! All materials included.

Join us for a fun, playful collage class where you’ll create a cheerful daffodil artwork from torn painted papers! You’ll explore torn paper collage as you’re guided through the steps of selecting painted papers, tearing shapes, and layering the pieces onto a pre-painted canvas to build a spring-inspired bouquet featuring daffodils.
This class is perfect for beginners (no experience required!) as well as artists looking to explore a new medium. Creativity and experimentation are highly encouraged, and all materials are provided.
Please feel free to bring a snack if you wish.
